Swapna Kolli, MD 

Swapna Kolli, MD, has more than 12 years of experience in the treatment of endocrine disorders and diabetes management. She graduated from Guntur Medical College in Andhra Pradesh, India, completed her Internal Medicine residency at James J. Peters Veterans Affairs Medical Center, ICAHN School of Medicine at Mt. Sinai in Bronx, NY, and her Endocrinology fellowship at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center of Excellence for Diabetes and Endocrinology in Odessa, TX.  She is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism, and Obesity Medicine.

Before joining North Texas Diabetes & Endocrinology, Dr. Kolli briefly worked at a private practice in Plano, Texas. Dr. Kolli has held several positions as an educator including as Assistant Professor in General Internal Medicine at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Odessa, TX, and Assistant Professor in General Internal Medicine at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, MO.

Additionally, Dr. Kolli has held clinical staff appointments including Member of the Institutional Review Board at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, Director of Performance Improvement and Physician Health and Wellbeing, Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, Diabetes Advisory Committee, St. Louis University Hospital, St. Louis, MO; and Inpatient Hyperglycemia Management Committee at North Central Bronx Hospital, Bronx, NY.

Dr. Kolli is a member of the Endocrine Society and American Association of Clinical Endocrinology.

She has published several articles in a variety of medical journals including AACE Endocrine Practice and BMJ Journals.

Dr. Kolli is known for her approachable demeanor, attention to detail, and patient-centered approach. She believes in empowering her patients through education, encouraging them to take an active role in their health. Whether diagnosing complex conditions or managing chronic diseases, Dr. Kolli is deeply committed to the well-being of every patient.

Outside of her clinical practice, Dr. Kolli dedicates her time to her family. She enjoys traveling, playing with her children, watching movies and reading books.
